On Monday MOL held our first Green Day, to raise awareness of recycling and encourage pupils and staff to recycle more at school and at home. All the pupils were encouraged to wear green, and pupils in P4-7 took part in an inter-house challenge to build recycling bins from recycled materials. They also had to design posters to go on the school’s recycling bins, as well as a poster to go on the MUGA entrance asking evening users to respect our MUGA by not littering.
Redwood House came out as winners of both the poster competitions, while the champions of the Recycling Challenge were Cedarwood with two fantastically designed and engineered bins!
The day was a great success, and hopefully we should now see a lot more recycling taking place in the school and at home!
