Community Litter Pick

What a Load of Rubbish!  ….was what we found today, as pupils from MOL along with some parent and community volunteers collected an incredible 36 bin-bags of rubbish on our litter pick!   We started out at the area behind the co-op car park, and worked our way round the waste ground to the playpark behind the MUGA.  Each class came out for a 25-minute stint, and although they all really enjoyed themselves, they were quite shocked at just how much litter was found.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the pupils, staff, parents and other helpers for their   efforts today, and especially to Richard Crawford and the community council  who arranged for Highland Council to lend us some litter pickers, as well as arranging funding for the school to purchase our own litter picking equipment.  The weather was kind to us (apart from P4A who got caught in a shower!), and the day has been a huge success, so thanks again to all involved!
